Enlighten Me took our show on the road, and we went big!

We were at the Center for American Progress Big Ideas conference to talk about some of the pressing issues related to the women’s movement, government and our civil rights.

I have to admit, in our first broadcast outside of the studios, I was very nervous. Our little community program sat alongside some major networks interviewing the same guests. It felt good to tackle the same topics from Enlighten Me’s vantage point.

Neera Tanden, President and CEO of The Center for American Progress and Former senior advisor for Hillary Clinton’s campaign joined us as well as Congressman Ted Lieu of California and Fatima Goss Graves, President and CEO of The National Women’s Law Center. They all gave insight into how some of CAP’s biggest ideas would be carried out.
