Hey Family,

As a mother of two small children, I have been rendered speechless by the images and stories that I have come across these past few weeks in regards to the current immigration policy.

The talk of the fate of children being separated form their parents is really hard to comprehend. My natural instinct is to think about the children of which these parents are separated from. Some who are no more than a couple of weeks or months old.  Some who are still breastfeeding. Some who have no idea what their mother or fathers first name is save for “mommy” or daddy”. Many who left their homeland to end up in cages with other children who they don’t know. Some who may be scared. Some who may be sick. Some who have no idea what happened to their parents. Many who have no idea what is happening to them.

On the program, Philip Wolgin, Managing Director of Immigration Policy at the Center for American Progress.  We’ll talk about his latest piece on the effects of the immigration policy on women and children.
