Hey Family,
I have to admit, these allegations on a daily basis regarding sexual harassment of some powerful men in various industries has been simultaneously vindicating and triggering. I can’t help but think of the immense bravery some of these women had to go up against– a system that not even two years ago would have dismissed such claims and fired the individual who came forward. I know, because it happened to me.
So today, I thought I would revisit an interview I did with Tasha Eurich, author of Insight. In it, she talks about gaining perspective on how we see ourselves and how that can help in all aspects of our lives. The systems in place that have led these powerful persons to believe that they are above the law have been going on far too long. Ending it is the only way we will be able to move forward and see ourselves CLEARLY.
ALSO, Meghan Markle’s engagement to Prince Harry sent out a firestorm of reactions spanning from elation to indifference. Lori Tharps, author of Same Family, Different Colors explores the concept of race and colorism in her book.
