If there is one thing we can learn from all of the sexual assault and abuse allegations as women come forward, it’s that the larger context of the conversation should be about abuse of power. One such power that should not exist in our common discourse. But as these archaic institutions begin to topple, we cant forget about the many people, in various institutions that continue to be affected by this.

Rewire has done some analysis and an investigation into sexual abuse at detention centers in Texas and I am pleased to have Tina Vasquez, immigration reporter for Rewire on the program with me.  She work uncovering this long-standing abuse needs to be highlighted.
