The designers of video games played with Legos. Games like Minecraft are really based on what’s considered common cultural knowledge of using building blocks. There’s this sense that we’ll abandon the physical world for the digital world, but even the creators of these products don’t want that. They understand the two are linked. – Alexandra Lange

As kids head back to school now and in the next couple of weeks, I thought it would be interesting to take a look at how the education of children has been structured in this society, as well as what we view as good or acceptable forms of education today.  On the program, Alexandra Lange, architect and author of the book, The Design of Childhood.  She’ll explore how the material world we live in shapes how our children are educated.
