“I cannot tell you the number of times I’ve wondered, especially after a spicy meal, why evolution wasn’t smart enough to build us with buttholes made out of something more durable? Titanium, perhaps?” – Mara Altman
Took a break from talking about policy and voting for a second because I had to talk to Mara Altman about her new book Gross Anatomy: Dispatches from the front and back. An amazing read, she hilariously took me through all of the parts of my body that I was previously embarrassed about to talk about. An insightful look, Mara talked to researchers and historians about the origins of why our bodies do the things they do.
All of the sounds, smells and randoms hairs be damned.
