Hey Fam,

No, I’m not going to have that debate with you.

But DC Mayor Muriel Bowser sponsors a National Maternal & Infant Health Summit every year to build on public awareness and interest in how to ensure the health of women, babies and families.

The summit provides elected officials, health officials and DC residents an opportunity to explore strategies to improve perinatal health and address racial disparities in birth outcomes to focus on successes from around the country that could serve as models for best practices.

And that’s very pro-life.

I’ll talk to Jennifer L. Porter, Executive Director of the Mayor’s Office on Women’s Policy and Initiatives on what to look forward to from the summit as we kick of the Annual Legislative Conference known as CBC next week.
